The portrayal of flight attendants in media has been a topic of interest for researchers. Studies have shown that flight attendants are often depicted as attractive, friendly, and approachable (Goffman, 1959; hooks, 1992). However, these portrayals can also reinforce traditional gender roles and stereotypes (Kilbourne, 1999; Lazar, 2006). In Malaysia, the media landscape is diverse, with a mix of Malay, English, and other language-language media outlets. Research on Malay flight attendants in Malaysian media is scarce, making this study a timely contribution to the field.
