I’ve checked the manual but the schematics for the adapter itself are vague. Any diagrams or photos of the pin mapping would be a huge help!
Are you attempting an or off-board reading (soldered) ?
Sometimes, the PCB components (resistors, capacitors) interfere with reading. If you get read errors, you may need to desolder the chip.
