In the English dub, the exaggerated, squeaky sound effects (bones cracking like twigs, balls exploding with cartoon dynamite) and the goofy vocal reactions turn the dated visuals into a feature, not a bug. When a player is kicked into the stratosphere and returns as a falling star, the dub adds a tiny “wheee!” of terror.
