The series is inspired by the 1989 film Batang Quiapo by the legendary Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ). The story follows the tumultuous life of Jesus Nazareno "Tanggol" A. Dimaguiba, a young man from the slums of Quiapo, Manila, who navigates a world of poverty, crime, and family secrets.
