Featuring essays on the psychological and physical benefits of naturism, body positivity, and environmental stewardship.

Sonnenfreunde (translation: “Sun Friends”) was one of the most significant and long-running naturist (FKK — Freikörperkultur) magazines in Germany. Launched in 1949, it quickly became the official publication of the German, Swiss, and Austrian Nudist Federations. The magazine was so influential that it spawned a French satellite publication, Amis du Soleil , and was also available in an English edition, sometimes titled Gymnos or Gymnos Sundeck .

In the modern publishing era, physical print runs of niche magazines face rising printing and distribution costs. Consequently, the demand for Sonnenfreunde has largely transitioned to the digital realm. Official Digital Collections
