Advay returns to Allahabad after 16 years with a burning hatred for the Vashisht family. We learn that he is actually Devrat, a childhood friend of Chandni. He blames Chandni and her family for the tragic murder of his parents. Chandni, now a traditional and fearful young woman, is preparing for her wedding, completely unaware of Advay's true identity.
