Set against the backdrop of political turmoil in 1980s Turkey, the film follows Memo (Aras Bulut İynemli), a mentally impaired shepherd whose intellectual capacity mirrors that of his six-year-old daughter, Ova (Nisa Sofiya Aksongur). Their simple, loving world shatters when Memo is wrongfully accused of murdering a military commander's young daughter. Sentenced to death, he is thrust into the violent world of a military prison, where he endures horrific mistreatment from guards and inmates alike. However, a miracle unfolds when his cellmates discover the truth. Touched by his pure heart and his desperate longing for his daughter, these hardened criminals orchestrate a daring plan to smuggle little Ova into their cell.
