The Cat Who Saved Books follows Rintaro Natsuki, a shy, introverted high school student who prefers the company of books to people. Following the sudden death of his grandfather, with whom he ran a quiet, cozy secondhand bookstore, Rintaro is facing the closure of the store and a move to live with a distant aunt.
