From the first few bars, it is clear that this is Yanni unshackled. The 45-piece orchestra and choir are dressed in sleek, modern attire, moving away from the stoic formalwear of the 90s.
The greatest risk Yanni took was adding lyrics to his most iconic instrumental tracks. For a die-hard fan, this is sacrilege; for a new listener, it is an entry point.
To capture the raw energy of this sonic evolution, Yanni chose the newly opened in the coastal paradise of Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico. The state-of-the-art indoor amphitheater offered pristine acoustics and a visually striking backdrop. The live production utilized: A massive, multi-tiered stage setup. Dazzling, synchronized light designs and dynamic sets.
Under Yanni's direction and in collaboration with producer Ric Wake, these "Voices" brought new emotional depth to classic Yanni tracks and debuted fresh material.
One Day (Live) * A stunning finale that features Yanni's piano, violin, and a breathtaking vocal performance.
